Dr. Cao joined the University of Nevada, Reno in July 2016 after receiving her Ph.D. from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette. In 2010, she obtained her B.S. degree from the Department of Precision Instruments at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

Jamie joined us in January 2020. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in the Chemical & Materials Engineering Department at UNR. Outside of school, he likes latin dancing, soccer, drawing, playing guitar and hiking.

Pranay joined us in January 2017 (co-advised with Dr. Yan Wang). He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2011. Before starting his Ph.D., he worked in a combined cycle power plant as an operation engineer.

Tengfei joined us in August 2017 (co-advised with Dr. Yan Wang). He received his B.Eng. degree in Nuclear Engineering from Wuhan University (WHU), Wuhan, China in 2014. Prior to his Ph.D. he earned a M.Eng. degree in Power Engineering from North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), Beijing, China in 2017.

Current position: Engineer at Seismic Imaging Analyst
Ms. Xixi joined us in Fall 2018. She received her B.Eng. degree in Materials Processing and Control from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (WHU), Wuhan, China in 2015. She earned a M.Eng. degree in Materials Processing Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Outside of school, she likes listening to music and watching movies.

Dr. Ehsan Moshkelgosha joined our group in Summer 2021. He obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Boise State University, Boise, in 2021. With a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ehsan has worked in the computational materials science area for 10 years. He is an expert in finite element modeling and numerical analysis in the area of materials science and mechanical engineering.

Ms. Daniela is a McNair Scholars and joined us in March 2020. She is a sophomore in the Mechanical Engineering department. Outside of school, she likes hiking and working out.
